1. Where can Deck Clic™ flooring systems be used?
Deck Clic™ flooring system are best used on flat concrete surfaces, preferably with well-drained areas; i.e. ceramic tiled pathways or corridors, compacted ground and any solid hard surfaces.
2. What are the components used in the plastic grid?
Deck Clic’s™ base is made of high quality polypropylene (PP) plastic material that are meant to withstand harsh outdoor environment, temperature extremities and resistant to degradation.
3. Would Deck Clic™ products affected by snow or extremely cold weather?
The hallmark of Deck Clic’s™ product is the superiority in wood quality. These specially selected wood species are impervious to snow and extreme cold weather, even though some warping might occur. (Wrapping is a common phenomenon in wood, to know more about why timber warp - Check below no. 4 question). The warped condition of the timber will dissipate after the snow has melted and the timber surface will resume to its original state and shape once completely dry.
4. Why does the timber surface have cupping / warping effect?
Warping of timber occurs when the wooden slat exhibit curvature, usually at the broadest area of its façade. Warping happens when the upper part of the slat is drier than the lower area. When timber loses moisture, it shrinks, it expand when moisture sets in. Warping is a common occurrence in timber decking resulting from the constant contact of the lower area of the slat to the ground, which is often more exposed with dampness.
5. Why there is colour variation in the products?
Wood is an ecological resource derived from nature with reliance on soil, climate and nature for growth. The formation of wood’s colour and grains are personalised due to the unique environment it is derived. Colour variation should be expected and is part of the character depicting natural beauty of the deckings. The colour variation is often not discernible after the timber has been sanded and polished.
6. Does Deck Clic™ products’ performance affected by heat and hot weather?

INSTALLATION FAQs |
|
|
|
|
|
1. Can Deck Clic™ be installed over concrete surface?
Deck Clic™ products are best laid on flat concrete surfaces in well drained surroundings. Other surfaces such as ceramic tiles, compacted ground and all other solid, firm and hard surfaces are ideal for Deck Clic™ installations. It is important to avoid installation on surfaces with stagnant water and avoid the product being sodden persistently.
2. Can the tiles be laid on bare earth?
It is highly recommended that Deck Clic™ be installed on compacted gravel. Laying Deck Clic™ decking on bare earth requires a foundation of weed control mat prior to installation. In these circumstances, Deck Clic™ is preferably installed on bare earth with slight gradient with good water drainage to prevent trapped water around the decks.
3. Do we need to glue or secure Deck Clic™ deckings to the ground?
No. Installation of the tiles requires no adhesives, nails, screws or any other fixtures to the ground.
4. How long it does normally takes to install a deck?
Most deckings can be installed in one to two hours, depending on the size of intended areas and complexity of the job. Deckings with curved edges or those that require customisation around corners and obstacles may take longer time due to the additional cutting work required.
5. What level of skill is needed to install DECK CLIC™?
Any layman would be capable of fulfilling the task. The decking can be locked securely and precisely in place with just a gentle push. Alignment of the tiles is spontaneous; all that is needed is repeated extension of decking in desired directions. Application of cutting and saw are only necessary to accommodate corners, curvatures or walls.
6. What kinds of tools are needed to install DECK CLIC™?
Only basic tools needed: measurement tape, handsaw, screwdriver and sander.
7. How to overcome curved and rounded areas with the decking?
Take measurements of the intended customisation of the decking .A handsaw or jigsaw would be required to cut the decks to fit around pipes or curved corners. Remove the screws before cutting and re-attached them to new placements provided at the plastic base. Ensure each wood slat is secured with at least two screws.
8. What is the best condition to install DECK CLIC™?
Installation of Deck Clic™ products works best under normal room temperatures. It is highly recommended to refrain from installing the products at sub zero temperatures as the plastic base tends to be brittle.

MAINTENANCE FAQs |
|
|
|
|
|
1. How to clean DECK CLIC™?
Light debris and dirt collected between wood slats can be easily removed with a stiff broom, leaf blower, vacuum cleaner, normal garden hose or pressure washer.
A pressure-washer’s strong cleaning passes across the surface of the wood is effective to remove dirt and grime. Caution should be exercised to refrain from excessive pressure which might damage the timber slat. Keep an adequate distance between the nozzle of the pressure washer and the deckings.
2. Will sunlight affect the timber and plastic of Deck Clic™ products?
The lustre of any hardwood will eventually fade and discolour if not treated with preservative oil at regular intervals. Although Deck Clic’s™ products are all pre-finished with oil that contains UV resisting properties, the oil will not provide permanent protection against fading or discolouring. It is highly recommended to apply a coat of good quality decking oil every 6 to 12 months (depending on climatic conditions) for the preservation of its original splendour.
3. What if one of the timber slats become detached from the base?
It is highly unlikely to happen as each timber slate is secured with at least three stainless steel screws. However, if this does occur, you can easily unattached the tile from your ground and re-screw with normal screw-driver.
4. What if the plastic grid breaks?
It is highly unlikely to happen as Deck Clic’s™ plastic grid is made of a highly durable yet flexible Polyethylene material. However, if this does occur, you are advised to bring the defective deck to our sales office for repair (terms and conditions apply).
